We believe that treatment services should be delivered in a way that respects the dignity, value and self-worth of every client. Treatment and recovery are very personal experiences with distinct physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components that may differ significantly from patient to patient. For that reason, each client has a right to be fully and completely informed about the services we provide and our approach to treatment. Most importantly, we believe that each client brings unique life experiences to the treatment environment and plays a vital role in individualized treatment planning, service delivery and discharge/transition planning. Finally, we recognize our moral and ethical responsibility to provide the highest quality treatment services that hold the greatest promise of successful outcomes for our patients and, to do so in the least restrictive setting.

We provide progressive treatment approaches while insuring accessible and cost-effectice service deliveries. We also utilize state of the art technologies in care and treatment in which it promotes innovative activities through education, research and program development. Sustaining an environment where a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in work is achieved by staff is also very important to us.

The Bobby Benson Center is a residential and outpatient, community-based social-learning model program designed to provide adolescents, ages 13-17, with the opportunity to gain the skills needed to develop a lasting recovery from dependency on drugs or alcohol. Specifically, the treatment program is designed to help break through the denial of drug and alcohol addiction, develop skills to manage the ups and downs of life and begin taking personal responsibility for actions. To begin this process, clients are introduced to their peer group and assigned a buddy, living accommodations and a primary counselor.

Atlanta Union Mission provides residential recovery and transitional housing programs to as many as 716 men, women and women with children. The residential recovery program offers a six to 12-month Christian curriculum with individual and group counseling, life skills training, work therapy and spiritual guidance. The 18-month transitional housing program continues the healing process. Clients live in a supportive, drug-free environment while working or pursuing further education as they transition to independent living.
